  • Sharon Rempel pioneered heritage garden research and design in B.C. as a component of museum conservation specialization. In the 1980s she won national recognition for her heritage gardens at The Grist Mill at Keremeosand won scholarships to take an MA Conservation Studies (landscapes and gardens) at the Institute of Advanced Architectural Studies, York England (1992; Thesis "Strateglies for living Plant Collections; Global and Local Action Plans"
  • Sharon has donated her heritage garden project designs to the Provincial Archives of B.C. in Victoria
