| The Heritage Wheat Project (HWP) has existed since 1998 as a program of 'The Garden Institute of Alberta', a registered Canadian charity. Sharon Rempel has run the project. The HWP has found funds for various local, regional and international seed bank projects. In 2007 we did preliminary work in enhancing the nutrition of grains by using various blends of bacteria/fungi in compost tea added to the soil. This project is the Heritage Crops and Seeds Corn Nutrion Project with Mr. Munk Bergin. In 2008 we began working on a GIS GRASP Grains Research Agronomy Research Project. In 2009 Sharon Rempel and Chris Wooding will attempt to build a model to match climate with heritage variety data to help screen varieties for climate change growing conditions in fields around the world..
